This December (2010), we are especially looking forward to celebrating Beethoven’s 240th Birthday on Thursday, December 16th at the PianoForte Salon at the Fine Arts Building, 6:30pm.  This is a free concert (with suggested donation at the door) but space is limited, so please RSVP now by leaving a message at 312-772-5821 or by email at InternationalBeethovenProject at gmail dot com.  It will be a truly very special evening! Don’t miss it…

-Saturday, October 16th, Nichols Hall, Music Institute of Chicago, 1490 Chicago Avenue in Evanston, IL. Fundraiser for the International Center on Deafness and the Arts (ICODA). Peformance of the 1st movement of Beethoven’s Emperor Piano Concerto with String Quintet (the Beethoven Project Players).

-Friday, November 5th, 2010, at the Northbrook Public Library, 1201 Cedar Lane, Northbrook, IL, 7:30 pm. Performing for the 12th anniversary of the Parisian Salon Series: Collaborating on some Faure songs with singer Claudia Hommel; performing some solo Chopin, and finishing off with a complete performance of Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto with the Beethoven Project Players. FREE

-Wednesday, December 1st, 3pm: Live on WFMT Radio 98.7 fm Chicago or at www.WFMT.com, or even on the free iPhone App (WFMT) listen to George perform Beethoven’s 1st Piano Sonata live.

-Saturday, December 4th, 6:30pm, at the beautiful home of HERVE and ISABELLE de la VAUVRE, in Evanston, IL. Includes beautiful gourmet French dinner and wines cooked by French chef Dominique Tougne (of Bistro 110).  Performance includes Beethoven, Bach and Chopin. $120 per person. Funds benefit the programs of the Alliance Francaise of Chicago. Email mayeuldlv@hotmail.com for reservation.

-Thursday, December 16th, 6:30pm: Beethoven’s 240th Birthday Concert and Celebration with George Lepauw and members of the International Beethoven Project. Dempster, Skokie, IL.  George performs, Beethoven’s Waldstein Sonata, Bach’s French Suite Number 5 and a selection of Chopin Waltzes and Mazurkas. A grand Beethoven celebration on the occasion of the 183rd anniversary of his death on March 26, 1827 in Vienna.  The program will feature the Beethoven Project Chamber Players, with David Taylor, Sang Mee Lee, Kristin Figard, Paula Kosower and George Lepauw.

Program: Mozart Piano Concert K415 in C Major – Beethoven Violin Sonata Number 10, Opus  96 – Brahms Piano Quintet in f minor

Venue: The beautiful Nichols Concert Hall of the Music Institute of Chicago, 1490 Chicago Avenue in Evanston, Illinois.

Tickets are $20 for all.  FREE for students!  Voluntary $50 patron tickets available (it helps the IBP!!!).

Part III of the 5 concert series of the Complete Beethoven Piano Trios by the Beethoven Project Trio.

Venue: the intimate salon of the PianoForte Foundation, Suite 825, the Fine Arts Building, 410 S. Michigan Avenue, Chicago.

Tickets: $50 ($35 for seniors; $20 for students and persons under 30).

NEW YORK CITY!

Tuesday, May 18, 2010, 8 pm:

The Beethoven Project Trio performs the recently discovered Beethoven Piano Trios they recorded for Cedille Records, giving the East Coast Premiere of these pieces for their New York City debut, along with the well-known Archduke Trio.

Venue: Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, New York City.  Box Office opens March 26th.

    I’ve seen and heard George LePauw – he is an exciting pianist – nothing boring here!! Alice Tully Hall will serve his and their performances quite
    nicely!
