The International Beethoven Project

We are currently in the process of building a Board of Advisors as well as Project Committees, to serve various areas within the organization.  We also have an honorary Board.

We are inviting anyone to apply for membership to the board, which is a two-fold process:

1)  Send us an email or a letter detailing your interest in serving on our board, at InternationalBeethovenProject  at  gmail  dot  com.

2)  We will then schedule a meeting either in person or by telephone if you live outside of the Chicago area.   There are no geographical restrictions, as technology enables conversations and meetings even hundreds or thousands of miles apart.

If this process works well and the organization then officially invites you to join the board, we ask for the 2010 calendar year  that you make a minimum contribution of $600 (which breaks down to $50 a month), or, if you are under forty, that you make a minimum contribution of $300 (which breaks down to only $25 per month!).

The time commitment board members will give depends partially on the rules of the road the first board meeting adopts.  A date will be set for late January, once all applications are received.  In general, board members who wish to be particularly active can present themselves as candidates for positions on the executive committee.  Otherwise, meetings will most likely be called approximately once every trimester, and minutes will always be sent to absent board members, although in most cases, absent members can participate in meetings via Skype or by telephone.

All physical meetings will take place in Chicago’s Fine Arts Building, 410 South Michigan Avenue, Suite 825.
